♣ Is one of the only plant sources of conjugated fatty acids and it contains an abundant amount of punicic acid, a compound closely related to conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). The punicic acid found in Pomegranate Seed Oil and has been called a "super CLA" whose effect is even more potent than ordinary CLA
♣ Has been shown to possess anti-invasive, anti-angiogenic activity and the ability to suppress inflammation9
♣ Contains rich fatty acids that can protect, soothe and calm the skin, and reduce hyperpigmentation of scars10
♣ Has anti-carcinogenic and anti-inflammatory properties that suggest its possible use as a therapy or adjunct for prevention and treatment of several types of cancer and cardiovascular disease11
♣ Is popular in the treatment of arthritis and other inflammatory diseases12
♣ May promote faster wound healing and quick relief from minor skin irritations and discomfort
♣ May have cholesterol lowering and preventing effects for cardiovascular and other chronic diseases13

♣ May replace needed estrogen often prescribed to protect postmenopausal women against heart disease and osteoporosis, while selectively destroying estrogen-dependent cancer cells16
♣ May have an effect on several disease processes such as Alzheimer’s disease, osteoarthritis neonatal brain injury, male infertility and obesity17 (further studies required)
♣ Supports the immune system
♣ Has been shown to inhibit the upstream eicosanoid enzyme phospholipase A2 expressed by human prostate cancer cells18
♣ Significantly suppresses the incidence of and multiplicity of carnionomas (animal study)19
♣ Contains Phytosterols (and ceramides) which are effective in blocking the reduced collagen synthesis after UV irradiation and even stimulating synthesis20
Contains Polyphenolic compounds which potently and synergistically suppress human breast and prostate cancer in vitro and ex vivo21
May have potent antioxidant compounds that may reduce platelet aggregation and naturally lower blood pressure, factors that can prevent attacks and strokes.22
