Lovin' it

My name is Jack and I have recently been impressed with the effects of the Pomegranate Seed Oil. I am an elite athlete and I am a regular competitor in extreme endurance events. These events require me to be highly active for extended periods of time which can take a massive toll on my body both physically and mentally. After recently completing an all night event I suffered severe chaffing on the inside of my thighs. I was thoroughly impressed with the dramatic effect that the Pomegranate Seed Oil had on my inflamed skin. I applied the oil to the affected area and rested for two hours, when I woke the inflammation had completely reduced and the stinging pain was gone. I was no longer in discomfort and was able to train the following day. No other product I have ever used has worked so quickly or effectively.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for sending through a sample of the Cardea oil.  I have been using a few drops with moisturizer for the past couple of weeks and already I’ve noticed a difference in how my skin looks and feels.

The Canberra climate is so drying and for such a long time I’ve been searching for a moisturizer but nothing so far has worked.  Combing the oil with my moisturizer has lead to fantastic results.  My skin looks and feels amazing and that’s just after two weeks!

Congratulations to you and everyone involved in creating this product… my skin thanks you!

Cheers Lisa

The power of the pomegranate – in all its forms!

From pomegranate seed oil, juice and extract to the whole fruit itself, there are numerous forms of pomegranate to tempt our body and soul. As awareness and popularity continues to grow for their powerful natural antioxidants, we’re starting to realise the vast benefits for pomegranates in all their forms!!

Pomegranate can be taken in many forms like raw pomegranate juice, extract, pill, processed pomegranate concentrate, pomegranate seed oil or pomegranate fruit.

So, what’s the difference and which form is best?

The quick answer is…all of them! Regardless of the form, pomegranate has a powerful combination of nutrients such as folic acid, niacin, polyphenols antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin B3, B6 and B12. Because of so many nutrients present in pomegranates, they are considered more beneficial than many other regular fruits and vegetables.

At Cardea, we’re passionate about all forms of pomegranates, especially Pomegranate Seed Oil. The benefits of Pomegranate Seed Oil are considered more significant than Pomegranate Juice because it is also a potent source of punicic acid, an Omega 5 conjugated fatty acid, beneficial phytoestrogen and a rare plant-based source of CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid).

With so much goodness, you simply can’t go wrong! What’s your favourite?

  • Many Italian Renaissance fabrics boasted the pattern of cut pomegranates
  • Chaucer, Shakespeare and Homer all extolled the virtues of the pomegranate in literature
  • In Arabic folklore and poetry, the pomegranate is the symbol for the fluid of life
  • The Chinese consider the pomegranate one of the three blessed fruit (the others are the citron and peach). The numerous seeds symbolised many male offspring dispersed around the world earning fame, fortune and glory
  • The Moors brought the pomegranate to Spain round 800 A.D. Granada was named for the pomegranate, which became their national emblem

Harvested from nature

It takes approximately 500kg of fresh pomegranates to produce 1 kg of Pomegranate Seed Oil. At Cardea, our Pomegranate Seed Oil comes from the seeds of pomegranates grown organically in Turkey, in the Mediterranean. Pomegranates from this region are considered the very best as they contain higher concentration of punicic acid due to the ideal blend of climate, soil and traditional farming methods.
